Yokogawa SIS supports Windows Vista

The latest version of the ProSafe-RS Safety Instrumented System (SIS) provides improved security and support for Windows Vista, according to Yokogawa. The Japanese headquartered company released the R2.01.00 this April amid claims of smooth integration with its production control system, CENTUM VP.

Yokogawa says it will target oil, natural gas, petrochemical and other process industries that use systems for emergency plant shutdown, fire prevention or fighting, and burner management
